Jürgen Klopp has officially named his first Germany squad, selecting an extraordinary 44 players for the upcoming UEFA Nations League fixtures against the Netherlands, Greece and Serbia.

The new Bundestrainer has divided his enormous selection into two groups. An initial 24-man squad will assemble ahead of the matches against the Netherlands and Greece, while another 20 players will join before Germany face Serbia and Greece for a second time. A large portion of the first group will then depart.

Klopp has included 11 first-time senior internationals in his inaugural selection, among them SV Elversberg midfielder Felix Keidel, Stuttgart defender Finn Jeltsch, Freiburg trio Max Rosenfelder, Philipp Treu and Derry Scherhant, Eintracht Frankfurt striker Younes Ebnoutalib and Celtic midfielder Mika Baur.

Marc-André ter Stegen returns as Germany’s current first-choice goalkeeper, while Deniz Undav, Oliver Baumann and Leroy Sané are among the more notable omissions.
