Leeds United have started reshaping their attack with Harry Wilson joining on a free, signing a four-year contract after a 10-month pursuit and a 10-goal, seven-assist season at Fulham. According to yorkshireeveningpost.co.uk, this projects how Daniel Farke’s options could look next season.
Leeds want more difference-makers for a competitive, defensively solid side, and will not ignore standout chances. They also want competition for Dominic Calvert-Lewin, with January interest in Jorgen Strand Larsen cited as evidence. Exits are expected, and they hope to travel to Nottingham Forest on August 22 with greater firepower.
Calvert-Lewin is a clear keep after 14 goals on a free last summer, and should benefit from a full pre-season, though he still needs rivals. Lukas Nmecha is another keep, with six Premier League goals despite some issues with hold-up play, and he fits as a potential third-choice.
Joel Piroe is earmarked for sale after failing to start a Premier League game beyond August and not scoring, and he may need to move to play, with £10-15m possible. Teenager Harry Gray, 17, impressed at Rotherham and will spend next season at Sheffield Wednesday to maintain minutes and goals.
Mateo Joseph continues ACL rehabilitation after his Mallorca loan was cut short, so a January move might be revisited if fit. Leeds also want a top-level striker, with Strand Larsen only a placeholder for the profile, and a fee around £40m may be required as in January. There are currently no concrete links.
