Leeds United target Julian Brandt has reportedly been ruled out by Real Betis as a fit for their plans.

El Correo de Andalucía reports that the Germany international was offered to Betis, but the club did not view him as the right profile. It followed his father and agent, Jürgen Brandt, being seen at the Luis del Sol Sports City, reportedly to view the facilities.

Leeds would like to bring the attacking midfielder to Elland Road this summer, valuing his experience and Champions League pedigree. He is a free agent after his Borussia Dortmund contract expired and is weighing up options for next season.

La Liga is understood to be among his preferred destinations. Betis finished fifth last season, securing a Champions League place.

A trio of ex-Leeds players, Junior Firpo, Diego Llorente and Marc Roca, contributed to that league campaign.

Leeds are expected to announce the already agreed arrival of Harry Wilson in the coming days, while defender Pascal Struijk is set for a move to Brighton.
