Flamengo have unveiled 18-year-old striker Juliano Viana on a three-year permanent deal, concluded as part of negotiations that took Wallace Yan to Bragantino.
According to Globo.com, the Rio club will hold 60% of his economic rights and can increase that share during the contract.
Formerly of Red Bull Bragantino, Viana had been on loan at Palmeiras. The 1.90m centre-forward has a playing style similar to Pedro.
Rated as a prospect at Bragantino, he won The Next Generation Trophy at 15 with the São Paulo side. He later received Brazil youth call-ups at under-15 and under-16 level. He was often compared to club idol Tupãzinho.
He made his professional debut in 2024 in the 20th round of the Brasileirão, coming on midway through the second half. Bragantino lost 1-0 to Fluminense, and it remains his only senior appearance.
He was returned by Palmeiras due to off-field issues before agreeing terms with Flamengo. Viana said he is delighted with the reception and hopes to win trophies and, God willing, reach the first team.
He signed his contract alongside club director Alfredo Almeida.
