Barcelona’s decision to sign Marcus Rashford on loan this summer was the club’s direct response after missing out on Nico Williams.
Rashford joined the club on the back of a loan spell at Aston Villa, and given his experience and pedigree at the highest level, many expected him to burst onto the scene in La Liga.
However, three games into the new season, the Englishman has barely showcased his quality and has largely appeared indifferent.
This has led many to assume that Barcelona may prematurely end Rashford’s loan deal and send him back to Manchester United.
However, according to veteran journalist Guillem Balague, reports of Barcelona terminating the loan deal for Marcus Rashford are as false as they can get.
Balague reports that the Catalans see the Englishman as a top player and have no desire to offload him early.

Barça have even told Rashford’s representatives that they have a lot of confidence in the Manchester United star and fully believe in his potential.
The Catalans, therefore, expect the English international to bounce back and recover his old form, which could go a long way in helping the club.
For now, though, Rashford has started only one of Barcelona’s three league matches so far this season, mustering less than 100 minutes of league football.
With no goal or assist to boot, Rashford appears to have fallen behind the likes of Ferran Torres, Raphinha, Lamine Yamal and Dani Olmo in the pecking order.
Therefore, the Englishman must soon improve his output and show more physical and mental strength if he is to challenge for a place in the starting lineup during the remainder of the campaign.
