Kayke’s start in Saturday’s 0-0 draw at Vitória made it four consecutive Corinthians starts, the longest run of his senior career under new head coach Fernando Diniz.
As reported by Meu Timao, Diniz’s arrival has provided the backdrop to the forward’s rise.
He was a surprise inclusion for Diniz’s first match, a 2-0 Copa Libertadores win over Platense, and scored the opener. He kept his place for the 0-0 league draw with Palmeiras and the 2-0 win over Colombia’s Independiente Santa Fe, then started again in Salvador.
His previous benchmark came last August under Dorival Júnior, when injuries to Yuri Alberto, recovering from inguinal hernia surgery, and Memphis Depay, sidelined with a right thigh problem, opened a spot. He partnered Gui Negão through three matches.
That run brought a 2-1 defeat to Bahia, followed by wins against Vasco, 3-2, and Athletico-PR, 1-0. The first two were in the Brasileirão, the latter in the Copa do Brasil.
Across his current streak, Kayke has logged 324 minutes. That is 64% of his 509 minutes this season and 35% of his 938 senior minutes for Corinthians since his 2024 debut.
He remains available to Diniz and, if he is not rested, could make it five starts in a row on Tuesday against Barra at 21:30 in the Copa do Brasil.
