The Blues weren’t active in the January window, but that’s expected to change with a number of positions in the squad needing to be addressed.

Chelsea are said to still be in the market for a centre back, whilst they’re looking to add another attacker, with a new midfielder also on the list of priorities.

Chelsea interested in Bayern Munich’s Kim Min-jae

Centre back has been a problem for the Blues all season, with Enzo Maresca wanting a replacement for the injured Levi Colwill and not getting it.

Liam Rosenior is said to have wanted a centre back in January, but despite pursuing Jeremy Jacquet they missed out to Liverpool.

Mamadou Sarr was recalled, but Chelsea are still making a number of defensive mistakes, and really need a starting quality centre back in the summer.

The Blues have been linked with Nottingham Forest’s Murillo, but Bundesliga expert Falk has provided an update on Kim.

He took to X.com and said:

“Chelsea have knocked on the doors of Kim Min-jae.”

The Blues have previosuly been linked with Kim, and the 29-year-old has made 27 appearances in all competitions this season, and is under contract until 2028.

Chelsea need to overhaul centre back department

As well as looking to sign another centre back, Chelsea also need to overhaul their current options, with a number of departures possible.
