Nathaniel Brown is emerging as a headline saga of the summer, with Bayern Munich leading the chase but far from a deal, and Real Madrid positioning for major business after their presidential election.

According to NY Times, Eintracht Frankfurt want €65m for the 22-year-old, who has no release clause and is contracted to 2030, while Arsenal’s interest persists. Bayern have held the most advanced talks yet remain short of the valuation, so negotiations could drag.

Arsenal have had an enquiry for Juventus winger Kenan Yildiz dismissed and are pursuing other wide options. Youth recruitment continues, while sales are being considered for Gabriel Jesus, Christian Norgaard and Fabio Vieira, with decisions pending on Gabriel Martinelli, Leandro Trossard and Ethan Nwaneri.

At Chelsea, incoming head coach Xabi Alonso visited Cobham ahead of his 1 July start. A first-team centre-back and a versatile attacker are priorities, with interest in Morgan Rogers. Potential exits include Marc Cucurella, while Enzo Fernandez carries a £120m valuation.

Liverpool have appointed Andoni Iraola and are targeting wide, multi-functional forwards. Contact has been made over RB Leipzig’s Yan Diomande, who carries a steep price, while Inter’s interest in Curtis Jones tests a circa £35m valuation.

Manchester City saw a bid for Elliot Anderson rejected, and continue to seek a right-back, central midfielder and winger, with Pedro Porro monitored. An Erling Haaland departure appears unlikely this summer.

Manchester United have an initial €40.5m agreement for Atalanta’s Ederson, with add-ons, and Rasmus Hojlund’s permanent switch to Napoli has brought a €50m return. Further midfield additions and an experienced deputy goalkeeper are being explored.

Newcastle are closing on Reims goalkeeper Ewen Jaouen for under £20m as part of a revamp, while replacing Anthony Gordon is a priority. Tottenham have signed Andy Robertson and are pushing for Jan Paul van Hecke as defensive work continues.

Barcelona are prioritising a centre-forward, with Julian Alvarez admired but uncertain. In Madrid, Florentino Perez has been re-elected, Jose Mourinho will take charge, formal announcements for Ibrahima Konate and Denzel Dumfries are expected, and a record €150m bid is under consideration.
