Kylian Mbappé secured a measured victory at the Paris labour court, which ordered PSG to pay him nearly €61m while dismissing the most contentious claims from both sides.
The club said in a statement that it will comply with the ruling while reserving the right to appeal. Provisional enforcement was ordered, meaning payment is due immediately despite any appeal.
The award comprises €36.6m gross as a third instalment of his signing bonus, €3.6m in holiday pay, €17.2m in unpaid wages for April, May and June 2024, €1.7m in holiday pay on that period, €1.5m in ethics bonuses for those three months plus €150,000 in related holiday pay, and €5,000 in costs.
Mbappé had sought €263m last month, including €44.6m for unfair dismissal, €37.5m for concealed work, and the reclassification of his fixed-term deal as permanent, but the tribunal rejected the remainder of his claims beyond the sums awarded.
PSG’s counterclaim for €440m in damages over image harm and loss of transfer opportunity was dismissed in full. The court also ordered the club to publish the full judgment on the homepage of its website for one month.
The dispute centres on payments tied to the end of Mbappé’s contract, which concluded after the 2023-24 season.
