La Isla de las Tentaciones has returned on Telecinco, with ex-Valencia CF forward Fran García among the new line-up of singles.

According to Superdeporte, the reality show has reached its 10th season in a little over six years. It aims to prop up Supervivientes’ regular numbers and prevent Antena 3 from widening the gap in this year’s second quarter.

The opening episode set out five couples and the group of single men and women tasked with testing those relationships. Hosted by Sandra Barneda, the series will reveal more as it moves on.

Many contestants come across as low-key, with interest peaking when rows erupt and performances feel less forced. Relationships frequently arrive already frayed, and flattery from suitors can prove persuasive.

García, 21, is a striker for CD Soneja and has scored two goals this season, and he appears as a single on the show. He will hope to add a few more in the Dominican Republic. Before joining Soneja last summer he spent one season at CD Utiel, another at San José, and played youth football for Vilamarxant after a trial at Valencia CF’s academy that did not come off.
