Lanús taunt Flamengo and Paquetá with Recopa trophy post | OneFootball

Lanús have mocked Flamengo and Paquetá on social media, two days after defeating the Brazilian side to lift the Recopa.

According to Globo.com, the Argentine club shared a photo of goalkeeper Losada celebrating with the trophy alongside a message that used capital letters to spell out “Paquetá”.

The text also referenced “47 million times”, a pointed nod at the transfer figure being discussed. That number is slightly above what Flamengo will pay West Ham for the 28-year-old midfielder, set at €42 million, around R$260 million.

Paquetá’s arrival is the most expensive signing ever made by a club in Brazil and across South America. The scale of the deal drew significant attention in Argentina before the Recopa decider.

The fee roughly equals the entire Lanús squad valuation, estimated at €43 million.
