Rangers face a big decision regarding Findlay Curtis ahead of the 2026-27 season, and another loan move is definitely on the cards, as reported by Pete O’Rourke. The 19-year-old winger moved to Kilmarnock on loan in January 2026, after making 21 appearances for Rangers and picking up three goals and two assists.
His time at Rugby Park was pretty impressive, as he earned a 7.23 Sofascore rating over seven games, bagged a goal and an assist, and managed 10 key passes, three big chances created, and eleven successful dribbles. Curtis scored his second goal for Killie in a 2-0 win against Livingston, and Steve Clarke rewarded that purple patch with his first-ever call-up to the senior Scotland squad.
Despite that progress, Rangers have a lot of competition up front for next season. Rohl is eager to bring in more attacking threats this summer, with Swiss striker Lorent Tolaj of Plymouth Argyle being heavily linked. The club are also still trying to secure another loan for Tottenham youngster Mikey Moore, who has become a real hit with the fans at Ibrox.
Those new arrivals, on top of the players already there, naturally push Curtis down the pecking order. The report reveals that Rangers plan to wait until the end of the transfer window before making a final call, giving Rohl a chance to look at all his wide options during pre-season first.

Looking at it from Rangers‘ side, they aren’t hesitating, they’re being smart and patient. The club have no plans to sell Curtis for good, and the fact that Rohl wants him involved in pre-season says a lot about how much they value him at Ibrox. That said, Curtis still has a clear area to work on: his consistency in the final third.
With just one Premiership goal in six games for Kilmarnock, it’s clear his finishing hasn’t quite caught up to his technical skill yet. Rohl apparently wants Curtis in the first-team squad for 2026-27, but with so many new attackers coming in, that spot isn’t a guarantee. Sending Curtis out on loan again to a team where he’ll actually start every week makes much more sense for his growth than letting him sit on the bench at Ibrox. Rangers are in control here, and the best move is to use another loan to their advantage.
