Lazio confirm 2010 World Cup winner Pedro to leave this summer | OneFootball

Pedro will leave Lazio at the end of his contract this summer, the club said in a statement on Thursday. The 38-year-old departs after five seasons in Rome.

He joined from Roma in 2021 and has since made 208 appearances, scoring 38 goals and supplying 18 assists.

This season he has largely been used off the bench, featuring in 28 Serie A matches with eight starts, returning four goals and two assists.

He extended his deal by one year in June last year, having initially been due to expire in 2025.

He was a Coppa Italia finalist last week as Lazio lost 0-2 to Inter Milan.

A Barcelona academy graduate, he is a 2010 World Cup winner with Spain and won 65 caps, scoring 17 goals. He later played for Chelsea and for Barcelona under Guardiola.
