Le Havre confirm season-long loan for Elias Jelert from Galatasaray

Le Havre confirmed on Friday afternoon that Danish right-back Elias Jelert, 23, has joined on a one-year loan from Galatasaray. The club said in a statement that the deal runs for the coming season.

Jelert may become their first-choice at right-back and has been brought in to compete with Timothée Pembelé.

He spent last season on loan at Southampton, making 11 appearances in all competitions.

He has three caps for Denmark.

Talks between Galatasaray and the Seine-Maritime club were already under way at the end of July. Jelert remains under contract with the club in Türkiye until 2029.
