In a pivotal relegation tussle, Auxerre struck first through Lassine Sinayoko before Le Havre responded to take a point. The forward ended a nine-match Ligue 1 drought, scoring his first since December.
According to L'Équipe, Sinayoko, Gautier Lloris and Simon Ebonog were each rated seven, while Sofiane Boufal received four after losing 21 balls.
Ebonog set the tone with a driving run on five minutes, then Romain Faivre forced Diaw into a save on 14. Sinayoko's emphatic finish on 15 made it 1-0, with Namaso getting the better of Ayumu Seko in the build-up, and Ebonog curled in the equaliser on 23.
Lamine Sy struck the left post on 36 after Diaw's touch, having earlier failed to track Ebonog for the equaliser. Sinayoko then threatened with an overhead on 38 that flew wide.
Ayumu Seko cut out an Oppegard cross on 45. After the break, Sinayoko's movement again troubled Le Havre and Lloris produced a crucial tackle to stop Namaso on 58, while Seko was beaten by Sinayoko in the same phase.
Faivre later released Okoh, who clipped the bar on 66. Boufal's influence waned and he was replaced by Mbwana Ally Samatta on 71, before De Percin denied Ebonog a second on 72.
Late changes followed, Ebonog making way for Godson Kyeremeh on 77, and Auxerre introducing Josué Casimir for Fredrik Oppegard to whistles the same minute.
