Daniel Farke delivered a positive injury update on his Leeds United squad before Saturday’s Elland Road meeting with Keith Andrews’ Brentford, although Gabriel Gudmundsson is definitely out. Victory would move the Whites six points clear of relegation for the night, at least.
According to yorkshireeveningpost.co.uk, Leeds have been without Noah Okafor since mid-February. He returned to training last week then suffered a small setback that kept him out against Crystal Palace, but Farke offered a more encouraging update before Brentford.
Brentford also suffered a fresh potential blow in Monday’s draw against Wolves. Here is the latest from both camps.
Fabio Carvalho is out for the season after anterior cruciate ligament surgery in November. Antoni Milambo also had ACL surgery in November, has begun initial rehabilitation at the club, and is out for the season. Josh Dasilva, after ACL surgery and two further operations late last season, has resumed some first-team training this month but remains out as he is carefully managed.
Rico Henry faces numerous weeks out with a hamstring injury and is not expected back soon. Aaron Hickey sustained a hamstring problem against Brighton last month and is out until after the international break. Vitaly Janelt suffered a metatarsal injury in the same game and is also out until after the break.
