Leeds United host Brighton and Hove Albion on Sunday in their final home match of the Premier League season, with absences and late fitness checks shaping both squads.
According to yorkshireeveningpost.co.uk, Daniel Farke’s side secured safety after West Ham lost to Arsenal, then drew 1-1 at Tottenham on Monday. Leeds now aim to stretch their league unbeaten run to eight.
Leeds were without Noah Okafor, Gabriel Gudmundsson and Ilia Gruev at Spurs. Gruev’s meniscus injury has ended his campaign and a return is expected in pre-season.
For Brighton, Stefanos Tzimas has been sidelined since early December with an ACL injury and will not feature again this term. Adam Webster has missed the entire season with an ACL issue, recently returned to the grass, but a comeback in the final two games looks unlikely.
Diego Gomez suffered a knee problem against Tottenham almost a month ago and is set to be assessed closer to the trip north. Mats Wieffer, who picked up an ankle injury at Newcastle, will also be checked later in the week. Kaoru Mitoma appeared to sustain a hamstring issue against Wolves, with scans pending, and any muscular damage would rule him out.
