Leeds United stretched their unbeaten run to four with a 1-1 draw at Brighton, ahead of Wednesday’s Carabao Cup trip to Chelsea. According to BBC Sport, Arsenal ‘considered’ Whites defender Tarik Muharemovic after William Saliba’s injury.
Jayden Bogle struck inside 15 minutes at the Amex, but Brighton improved after the break and Luka Vuskovic levelled with a 71st-minute header. The point leaves Leeds ninth in the Premier League on five points from three matches.
Xabi Alonso’s side have six points from their opening three league games but lost 2-1 at Arsenal on Sunday.
Midfielder Moises Caicedo missed that trip to the Emirates and remains a big doubt for Wednesday. Alonso has said he will not rush the Ecuadorian back despite a shortage of midfield options.
The transfer window closed last week, with Leeds adding Melvin Bard and Jean-Matteo Bahoya on deadline day, becoming signings six and seven of the summer. The report said Muharemovic was on the radar for defensive cover, before the Gunners agreed a deal worth up to £55million for Aston Villa’s Ezri Konsa.
