Leeds United have attracted support in the betting for Saturday’s Premier League opener at Nottingham Forest, with interest also evident in the goalscorer markets.
According to yorkshireeveningpost.co.uk, Daniel Farke’s side start their second season back in the top flight with a 3pm kick-off at Forest, who finished two places below them last term. Leeds ended 14th with three more points, while Forest were fifth-bottom.
Under new boss Oliver Glasner, Forest were initially made firm favourites, as short as 6-5 with some firms and no bigger than 11-8, with Leeds at 9-4 and the draw 5-2. Backing for the visitors has since shortened Leeds to as little as 19-10, with Forest out to 7-5 yet still favourites.
Forest supply four of the first five names in the any time scorer market, led by former Leeds striker Chris Wood at 19-10. Dominic Calvert-Lewin has also been supported and is next best at 9-4, challenging for favouritism.
A 1-1 draw heads the correct score market at 6-1, followed by a 1-0 Forest win at 17-2, then 2-1 to the Reds at 9s.
Leeds are 11-1 for a 1-0 victory or 12s for 2-1, with 2-0 to the Whites priced at 18s. Forest are 12s to win 2-0.
