Leeds quartet in Wales squad as Craig Bellamy urges fans to attend | OneFootball

Leeds United will be well represented in Wales’ squad for two post-season friendlies, with Craig Bellamy urging supporters to boost ticket sales for the Ghana match.

Wales host Ghana at Cardiff City Stadium on Tuesday June 2, then visit Romania at Stadionul Steaua in Bucharest. According to yorkshireeveningpost.co.uk, Bellamy has called up Karl Darlow, Joe Rodon, Ethan Ampadu and Dan James.

The Ghana fixture forms part of the Football Association of Wales’ 150th anniversary celebrations, yet sales have been slow. Bellamy appealed for fans to attend, noting levels are well below normal and acknowledging the financial pressures on families, while hoping those who can afford it will come along.

Wales are aiming to respond after missing out on the World Cup, having lost on penalties to Bosnia and Herzegovina in the play-off semi-final.

There is a lift for Bellamy with the return of former Leeds loanee Connor Roberts. The Burnley defender has missed the entire 2025/26 campaign with an Achilles injury.

Bellamy said he has scarcely worked with Roberts so far and praised the right-back’s tactical awareness and leadership, effectively a coach on the pitch. He added that James’ availability has been stop start and that Wales missed the winger last summer, particularly away to Belgium.
