Leeds United host Brighton in their final home game on Sunday at Elland Road. Combined absences stand at eight out and three doubts, with two players back in contention.
According to yorkshireeveningpost.co.uk, Leeds’ survival was secured by Arsenal’s 1-0 win at West Ham last Sunday. Daniel Farke was already missing key men for Monday’s trip to Tottenham, fresh issues emerged around the teams and during the match, then Friday’s briefing delivered the final update.
Brighton are pushing for Europe, sitting seventh after seven wins in their last 10. Kaoru Mitoma has a hamstring injury that rules him out of the final two matches. Stefanos Tzimas is out for the season with an ACL injury, and Adam Webster, sidelined all campaign with an ACL, is back on the grass but a return in the final two games is unlikely.
Brighton’s 23-year-old Paraguayan midfielder Diego Gomez is back in contention after a knee problem. Leeds loanee Facundo Buonanotte, on loan from Brighton, missed Tottenham with a hamstring issue and is ineligible to face his parent club.
For Leeds, Ilia Gruev is out for the rest of the season after a meniscus injury sustained in training. Further doubts remain within Farke’s squad following the setbacks around Tottenham. Final checks will follow before Sunday’s three pm kick-off.
