Daniel Farke says Anton Stach’s Germany recall is merited and has outlined to Julian Nagelsmann what Leeds United’s midfielder will bring during the March window.

Stach has been named in the squad to face Switzerland and Ghana. Nagelsmann told Kicker that while Stach is performing well, he is not outstanding in the air or as a ball-winner, prefers the game in front of him, and may be best as the central player in a back three stepping into midfield.

Farke said Stach has adapted from the first day, has shown remarkable consistency in the Premier League and strong metrics. “He fully deserves this call up.”

He highlighted Stach’s all-round game, from duels and ball recoveries to goals, assists and sparking attacks, and praised his versatility, calling him a key player.

Stach has waited for another chance at senior level and, according to Farke, could be a positive presence for Germany. “He has the chance to impress and show what he’s capable of,” Farke said. “Julian will get a top class guy who will travel with confidence. I hope he can grab this chance with both hands, fingers crossed for him.”
