Leeds United are exploring a summer transfer deal for Fulham attacker Harry Wilson, according to journalist Ben Jacobs.

Manager Daniel Farke came very close to bringing Wilson to Elland Road last summer and remains an admirer.

The 29-year-old is a free agent at the end of this month, and the Whites are looking to lure him to Yorkshire.

Wilson bagged 10 league goals and seven assists in 36 league appearances last term and could be a huge addition to the Leeds squad.

The former Liverpool star was close to joining Leeds last summer. They had a private jet on standby to transport the Fulham attacker to Yorkshire on summer transfer deadline day.

Leeds met the asking price, but Fulham pulled the plug on the deal after they failed to get Chelsea forward Tyrique George as his replacement.

The Whites had tabled an improved offer to sign Wilson after Fulham indicated that they wanted to renegotiate the terms.

An agreement was reached, leading to the signing of a proposed ‘Deal Sheet’ by Leeds and Wilson.

However, Fulham made it clear to the Whites that the transfer was off a few minutes before the 7.00 pm deadline as they wanted to sign a replacement before allowing him to leave.

Leeds will hope to sign Wilson this summer, but Aston Villa and Benfica are also keen on securing his services.
