Leeds United are interested in bringing Chelsea striker Liam Delap to Elland Road.
The Whites have allowed Joel Piroe to leave for West Ham United on loan and manager Daniel Farke wants to sign a replacement.
Chelsea want around £50 million for Delap, but could be willing to negotiate. Nottingham Forest and Everton are also interested in signing him.
Dominic Calvert-Lewin is the Whites’ first-choice striker, while Lukas Nmecha, Mateo Joseph and Noah Okafor can provide cover in the position.
Leeds are open to adding one more player in the position and Delap is an option despite ending last season with one goal in 28 Premier League games.
The 23-year-old notched 12 goals in 37 league games in 2024-25 and will fancy his chances of proving himself elsewhere after becoming surplus to requirements at Chelsea.
However, Delap will prefer going to a club where he is guaranteed a place in the starting XI.
He is not going to get that at Leeds given the plethora of options available to Farke and may look at his other options for the sake of his career.
Leeds have added Harry Wilson, James Trafford, Tarik Muharemovic and Nico Elvedi to their squad this summer.
Farke wants more additions to boost their chances of European qualification, and signing a top attacker could be huge.
