Leeds United supporters savoured a relaxed Elland Road finale against Brighton, captured here in 31 brilliant photos. A stoppage-time winner ensured the season’s last home outing ended in style.

Safety had already been secured the previous weekend, Arsenal’s 1-0 win at third-bottom West Ham leaving newly promoted Leeds mathematically safe with three games to spare. On Monday night Daniel Farke’s side fought back to draw 1-1 at fourth-bottom Tottenham Hotspur.

Six days later came Brighton’s visit, with 36,880 inside Elland Road. After chances at both ends, the contest seemed destined to finish goalless.

Dominic Calvert-Lewin pounced on Jan Paul Van Hecke’s back pass, rounded Bart Verbruggen and slotted a 96th-minute winner to seal a 1-0 victory. Elland Road erupted.
