Leeds United rivals Crystal Palace agree deal in principle for Pierre Sage | OneFootball

Crystal Palace, Leeds United’s close 2025-26 Premier League rivals, have agreed a deal in principle for Lens boss Pierre Sage to become head coach following Oliver Glasner’s departure.

Sky Sports reports that the 47-year-old Frenchman is set to sign a contract until summer 2029, with an option of a further year.

Glasner led the Eagles to Europa Conference League glory in his second full season in charge. He had announced in January that he would leave at the end of the campaign.

Despite that European success, Palace finished 15th in the Premier League, two points and a place behind newly-promoted Leeds.

The South London club are heading into a 14th consecutive season in the top flight.
