Leeds United have imbalances to fix this summer as players come and go under Daniel Farke. Pascal Struijk has already left for Brighton in a £20m move earlier this month. Struijk’s former berth on the left of central defence was light even before his departure, and left-footed options remain scarce across the group. Wilson would bolster that left-footed quota higher up the pitch. Left wing-back also lacks natural cover behind Gabriel Gudmundsson.

In goal, only Lucas Perri is currently contracted to the club. With Cairns lined up as cover if his agreement is finalised, the position still needs attention. Central midfield looks strong, though interest in Shea Charles could yet alter that area.
