Leeds United are preparing a £35m move for Wolves midfielder Andre as the club target a significant upgrade in central midfield. RTI Esporte reports that Leeds are set to bid £35m, a figure that aligns with Wolves’ valuation.

The pursuit is shaped by his marking and distribution, with defensive presence and tactical awareness central to his role. Despite Wolves’ season, Andre has been a rare bright spot. With Wolves relegated, Leeds are attentive and have also been linked to Wolves players Ladislav Krejci and Santiago Bueno.

Andre’s numbers underline elite defensive output across 31 matches and more than 2400 minutes, including 75 tackles, 26 interceptions and over 180 recoveries, with more than 130 duels won. Those figures place him among the league leaders for recoveries, highlighting his ability to regain possession at a consistent rate.

On the ball, he has 91 per cent pass accuracy, offering reliability in possession and control in deeper areas. With over 200 career appearances, he profiles as a midfielder who maintains structure while aiding build-up. A £35m valuation reflects that profile, and a deal would come close to Leeds’ record, Georginio Rutter’s £35.5m in January 2023.

Any arrival would raise standards across the unit, with Ao Tanaka’s passing numbers pointing to a different, less defensive role. Pressure would increase on peripheral options such as the injured Ilia Gruev and Tanaka. Andre’s repeatable defensive actions and composed distribution are the reasons Leeds are prepared to invest at this level.
