Leeds United transfers, Fiorentina ‘to sign’ Jack Harrison as Villa link gives Doekhi edge | OneFootball

Leeds United’s January picture features links to Danilho Doekhi and a potential Jack Harrison exit. Leeds Live reports that Leeds have not advanced a move for Doekhi despite German claims of interest.

La Nazione claims Fiorentina are close to taking the 29-year-old on loan with an obligation to buy for about €10m, contingent on avoiding relegation, with a medical planned and the winger due in Italy within hours. Fiorentina are 18th.

Kicker claims both Leeds and Aston Villa have interest in Union Berlin defender Doekhi and that he will not sign a new contract. Union have only weeks to cash in, and the defender has six goals in 18 matches, including a brace in a 2-2 draw with Bayern Munich in November.

Birmingham Live points out that Doekhi’s cousin Lamare Bogarde is in Unai Emery’s first-team group at Villa, a detail seen as a possible advantage for the Premier League side.

Leeds have climbed away from the relegation places after an unbeaten run, which ended dramatically against Newcastle United. Harrison has made 13 appearances this season, 10 as a substitute, after spending the last two campaigns on loan at Everton.

Clubs have just over two weeks to conclude mid-season deals before the window shuts.
