Leeds United host relegated Burnley in the Premier League at Elland Road on Friday, aiming to edge closer to safety. Daniel Farke’s side hit 40 points with a dramatic 2-2 draw at Bournemouth last week, yet may still need another win.

According to yorkshireeveningpost.co.uk, Ilia Gruev’s season ended last week, while Gabriel Gudmundsson will miss at least the next two matches with a hamstring injury.

Farke also delivered a worrying update on two other key players, though midfield option Anton Stach has recently returned.

Burnley remain without captain Josh Cullen, who suffered an ACL injury in December and underwent surgery, and is still expected to be out for months.

Jordan Beyer is another long-term absentee, having sustained a meniscus knee injury against Luton in October 2023 before a hamstring issue last summer, with no imminent return.

Connor Roberts is sidelined by an Achilles problem and has yet to feature this season, with the defender still unavailable.

Zeki Amdouni has returned to training after a summer ACL injury and could be involved before the season ends. Hannibal Mejbri has not played since last month’s 3-1 defeat at Fulham, with involvement at Elland Road considered possible.

Axel Tuanzebe has been out since February with an Achilles injury, although he featured for DR Congo in March, and the exact issue remains unclear.
