Leicester City could face a battle to retain Abdul Fatawu and Jeremy Monga beyond the January transfer window.
Leicester City are gearing up for a crucial January window, with Marti Cifuentes sure to be on the lookout for players who can improve the squad.
It remains to be seen what business the Foxes can do, and just how restricted they are by their PSR issues, which could still bring a points deduction for the club this season.
With that in mind, Leicester may be in a position where they have to raise funds, and, despite their inconsistent campaign, there’s still a lot of quality in the ranks at the King Power Stadium.
Of course, in an ideal world, Cifuentes will retain his key men to help Leicester’s promotion push, but the reality is that money talks, and with the team underachieving, some players may see it as the ideal time to move on.
Here we look at TWO players who could attract multi-million pound offers in the New Year, which could put the Midlands outfit in a difficult position.

We’ll start with the obvious one. The winger is incredibly talented, and there’s no doubt that top tier clubs will have an eye on the Ghana international.
Fatawu has struggled for consistency, but he is still the most productive player at the club, having scored four goals and registered six assists. Plus, his brilliant goal against Ipswich shows just what he is capable of.
Sunderland were believe to have offered £28m for Fatawu in the summer, but, to their credit, Leicester managed to retain the player, and you would expect their resolve to be tested again in a matter of weeks.
It would be hard to justify a sale to the fans of the club, but, as outlined above, the financial package could be too much for Leicester to turn down considering Fatawu’s ability and potential.
Obviously, any departure would be a big blow, although it could give Cifuentes the funds he needs to seriously add to the squad.

The 16-year-old winger is one of the top talents in the country for his age, and he has already made his mark in the first-team.
Even though Cifuentes has managed Monga carefully in recent weeks, it’s clear that he is a remarkable talent, and reports have claimed a host of clubs across Europe are monitoring the teenager, with Chelsea and Man City among his admirers.
It can be difficult for players to resist offers from clubs who offer European football, and whilst Monga will appreciate the first-team opportunities he has had at Leicester, the chance to make the step up is going to appeal.
So, it feels like there will always be speculation surrounding Monga going into every transfer window, and it would be no surprise if Leicester received some serious bids for the academy graduate in January.
