Lens rally after VAR review as Le Mans stay winless | OneFootball

Le Mans and Lens drew 2-2 at Stade Marie-Marvingt, extending the hosts' winless Ligue 1 start to four matches as the visitors slip to ninth.

Adil Bourabaa headed Le Mans in front in the 32nd minute after a fast break, before Lucas Calodat drilled in a second from the left side of the box (44.).

Abdallah Sima pulled one back for Lens in the second minute of first half stoppage time, the header confirmed after a VAR review.

After the restart, half time substitute Franjo Ivanović levelled with a glancing header from Ruben Aguilar's cross (51.).

A later VAR check brought no penalty for Lens, and Thorgan Hazard struck the bar from a direct free kick late on.

Ewan Hatfout denied Florian Thauvin either side of the interval, including a sharp stop from a header, as Lens pressed for a winner.

Le Mans registered 12 attempts and held 52.4% possession. Lens tallied 16 attempts, hitting the target six times.
