Leonardo Jardim has a timely boost, with centre-back Danilo available for Flamengo’s Libertadores meeting with Cusco of Peru at the Maracanã on Tuesday 26.

According to Coluna Do Fla, the No 13 missed the Brasileirão match with Palmeiras through suspension after an accumulation of yellow cards, but is free to return and strengthens Jardim’s defensive options.

The group-stage finale kicks off at 21:30 Brasília time, part of matchday six.

Flamengo have already secured a place in the last 16, but a win remains the target to finish as the competition’s top side after the group phase.

Topping the overall standings would ensure home advantage in the knockout ties, covering the round of 16, quarter-finals and semi-finals.
