Lille OSC and Olympique de Marseille are reportedly in a race to secure the services of Anis Hadj Moussa (24), according to Foot Mercato.

Having enjoyed a standout season with Feyenoord, the Algerian winger is in high demand, and any club wishing to prise him away from Rotterdam will have to pay a fee of around €30 million. However, such a deal could prove problematic for Marseille, particularly from a financial perspective, whilst their likely absence from the Champions League looks set to be a major stumbling block to their ambitions.

A real setback for Les Phocéens, who, last winter, through their former president Pablo Longoria, had made contact with Feyenoord regarding a potential transfer of the Paris-born player. The idea of a payment spread over four instalments had even been mooted.

Be that as it may, Hadj Moussa is likely to be a key figure in the upcoming summer transfer window, having scored 11 goals and provided seven assists in 38 appearances across all competitions this season, and he is expected to be included in Vladimir Petković’s squad for the World Cup in the United States.
