Lille’s Ayyoub Bouaddi yet to choose between France and Morocco | OneFootball

Ayyoub Bouaddi (18) has not been called up by Morocco, despite Foot Mercato reporting that the France youth international had verbally agreed to represent the Atlas Lions. 

Bouaddi has featured for France’s U21s side and he is considered one of the most promising prospects in French football. At the age of just 16, he was already playing in European football and is a regular under Bruno Genesio. 

An administrative hold-up for Bouaddi?

At just 18, he has already played eight games for France’s U21 side. However, Morocco could offer him senior football earlier. Bouaddi has not yet made a choice on his international future, however, as per RMC Sport, hence his absence from Morocco’s squad for the upcoming international break. 

Foot Mercato, however, maintains that Bouaddi has agreed to represent Morocco. His absence is due to a lack of time to finalise the administration pertaining to a switch in supporting nationality.
