Liverpool and Brighton dominate September’s Premier League award nominations | OneFootball

Liverpool’s Andoni Iraola, Brighton & Hove Albion’s Fabian Hurzeler and Manchester City’s Enzo Maresca have been nominated for the Premier League Manager of the Month award.

Iraola guided the Reds to two wins and a draw. They recorded wins at Ipswich Town and Bournemouth and were held to a goalless draw at home by Fulham.

The Spaniard is a two-time Premier League Manager of the Month winner, both coming during his time at Bournemouth.

Hurzeler’s Brighton beat defending champions Arsenal and Coventry City, and drew against Leeds United.

He has not won the award since August 2024, when he became the youngest manager to win it at the time.

City recorded victories over Manchester United, Sunderland and Coventry, climbing to the top of the standings.

Maresca has won the award twice during his time at Chelsea.

Liverpool’s Alexander Isak and Jeremy Jacquet, along with Brighton’s Charalampos Kostoulas and Pascal Gross, have been nominated for the Player of the Month prize.

Isak scored three goals, including the decisive strike at Bournemouth, while Jacquet played a huge role in helping Liverpool keep three clean sheets.

Kostoulas and Gross registered three and five goal involvements, including a goal and an assist apiece against Arsenal.

Man City’s Antoine Semenyo, Hull City’s Mohamed Belloumi, Leeds’ Jayden Bogle and Brentford’s Kevin Schade are the other nominees.

Semenyo chipped in with four goal involvements, Belloumi had three, Schade netted twice and Bogle scored once.
