Guehi talks to commence soon

Given his contract expires in 2026, sporting director Richard Hughes can conduct some so-called opportunistic business for the former Chelsea man.

And according to the latest report in TEAMtalk, a deal for Guehi is edging closer. Since Liverpool announced their interest in the central defender, talks are reported to have begun between the Reds and Guehi.

An outline of a deal is close to being agreed - states the report - and negotiations with Palace will soon start.

“Liverpool are very close to reaching an agreement with the player on personal terms,” reads a report. “Contacts between Liverpool and Palace are expected to start soon.”
