PSG are keeping a close eye on Ibrahima Konaté, but they aren’t alone in the race. Real Madrid are also showing interest in the Liverpool center-back, with the chase picking up steam as the summer transfer window approaches. Konaté is under contract until 2026, but that hasn’t deterred top clubs from circling.
With Milan Skriniar expected to leave permanently—he’s currently on loan at Fenerbahçe—PSG are beginning to explore defensive options. A deal isn’t believed to be imminent, but the club appears to be preparing for life without Skriniar.
This isn’t the first time Konaté has been on PSG’s radar. Earlier this year, Anfield Watch reported that the French club was already showing interest. A Paris native who came up through Paris FC’s academy before making his name at RB Leipzig, Konaté is viewed as a long-term solution at the back—and one of PSG’s priority targets this summer.

Football Insider reported on Monday, citing sources, that Liverpool may be forced to accept offers of between £40 million and £50 million for Konaté this summer.
Last month, Foot Mercato reported that Konaté had been offered to Real Madrid, PSG, Barcelona, and several other top clubs with an eye on a potential move in 2026.
Talks over a new contract with Liverpool have reportedly hit a standstill, and the French center-back is said to be open to a fresh challenge. While multiple teams are keeping tabs on the situation, Konaté is believed to favor a move to Real Madrid.
