In fact there's quite a few of them in the club's U18 side who could be knocking on the first-team door in a year or so.
Erik Farkas is extremely highly rated. Meanwhile, Joshua Abe is regarded as a generational young talent who is already breaking records for the club's U18 side and is only 15-years-old.
But undoubtedly the academy 'Payer of the Season' so far has to go to Joshua Sonni-Lambie. The youngster recently made his debut for Liverpool's U21 side in the EFL Trophy and he's really starting to make a mark this season.
In 10 appearances for the club's U18 and U19 side so far this season, Sonni Lambie has scored eight goals and registered two assists.
He's averaging a goal or assist every 82 minutes on the pitch right now and it's not just his goal contributions but his overall performances in general.
Sonni-Lambie is dominating the U18s and leading by example. His performance levels in a number of different roles, whether that is in a no.9 position or playing as an attacking midfielder or a winger have been nothing short of excellent.
It's that versatility which confirms that he's ready for a first-team role. Right now Slot could really do with another option in his attack.
He's got Cody Gakpo, Rio Ngumoha, Hugo Ekitike, Mo Salah, Federico Chiesa and Alexander Isak. That's plenty of depth but adding someone like Sonni-Lambie could give the likes of Ekitike and Isak some respite.
They are the two players in the team who can play that no.9 role. Meanwhile, there aren't many options available in the no.10 position either where it's just Florian Wirtz and Dominik Szoboszlai.
The fact that Sonni-Lambie could play both positions makes him an easy third choice option. Someone who can step-up in the case of an injury or play some of the cup games.
His performances this season prove that he's ready and hopefully Slot sees that as well. The 17-year-old is a special talent and he has the potential to go all the way to the top.
