But according to Il Corriere dello Sport, Lotito is hoping to boost his popularity in the locker room by offering some tempting financial rewards, and encouraging the players to give their all in the final hurdles of the season.

Claudio Lotito Doubles Coppa Italia Bonus for Lazio Players

As the Roman newspaper explains, the Italian senator informed the players that the bonus for winning the Coppa Italia has been doubled from €2 million to €4 million. The Biancocelesti settled for a 2-2 draw in the first leg of the semi-final against Atalanta. The decisive fixture will take place in Bergamo on April 22, and the winner will meet either Inter Milan or Como in the final.

Lotito Promises Reward if Lazio Win Five in a Row

The Coppa Italia now represents Lazio’s ultimate objective of the season, as qualifying to Europe through Serie A is highly unlikely, with the team sitting 8th in the table. And yet, Lotito is enjoying the current winning streak, thus promising the players another bonus if they can win five on the trot.

The Aquile beat Sassuolo, AC Milan, and Bologna in their last three outings. They will host Parma in Rome after the international break (April 4) and then play Fiorentina away from home (April 13).
