Luca Pellegrini admits: “I’ve always been a Lazio fan.” | OneFootball

Former Roma defender Luca Pellegrini looked back on his years with the Giallorossi while talking to Behind the Baller.

“I started my football career at Roma, where I went through the entire youth sector there from 11 to 17/18 years old,” said Pellegrini who found a new – albeit controversial – home at Lazio.

“I remember that we won every competition we played in, I was lucky on that. I made my debut there with the first team,” explained the defender. A period that represents the beginning of his journey, then continued between Cagliari, Juventus, Genoa and Eintracht Frankfurt.

“Most of us Lazio fans dreamed of this,” he admitted, recalling the move to the Biancocelesti from Roma. A statement that goes hand in hand with the relationship he has cultivated over time with the Lazio environment.

“It was the beginning of a fairy tale that continues today and that I hope can continue for a long time. We are doing well, Rome is my home and I don’t think there is anything a footballer can ask for more than what I am experiencing.”
