Lucas Hernandez, Thomas Müller, Yann Sommer and Mats Hummels among Estrela 90% buyout investors | OneFootball

A group featuring Lucas Hernandez, Thomas Müller, Yann Sommer and Mats Hummels has acquired 90% of Estrela da Amadora, the club said in a statement on Tuesday. The group also includes an international consortium led by ADvantage and LEAD, supported by KI.

The top-flight club is based north-west of Lisbon.

Hernandez, 30, Müller, 36, and Sommer, 37, remain active away from Bavaria. Hummels, 37, also played for Bayern Munich, with the four featuring for the club at different times.

Each of the investors worked with Johannes Mösmang during his decade on Bayern’s staff, where he served as "player manager". Mösmang is now Estrela’s president.

Estrela have been in the top flight since 2023 and have secured survival four times, finishing each season in the bottom half. Four French players are in the squad, Lucas Mincarelli, formerly of Montpellier, Tom Moustier, formerly of OM, Emerson Vanga, formerly of OL, and Bénito Souza, formerly of Le Havre. Eddy, the cousin of Désiré and Guéla Doué, also plays for Estrela.
