Luton Town striker Lasse Nordas is closing in on another move away from Kenilworth Road, with fresh details emerging regarding the structure of a switch to Cracovia.

Throughout the summer, the Hatters have been expected to sanction the Norwegian's departure, and it's clear he is not part of Jack Wilshere's plans.

Nordas spent the second half of last season on loan at Heerenveen in the Eredivisie, and now appears set to head overseas again - this time to Poland.

Polish journalist Piotr Kozminski has reported that a deal to take Nordas from Luton to Cracovia is close to being finalised.

According to the report, the striker is set to join the Polish top-flight side on loan, with an option to make the move permanent for a fee in the region of €2 million.

A departure has looked likely for much of the summer. Nordas was one of four senior Luton players, alongside Jerry Yates, Tom Holmes and Reuell Walters, who were left without a squad number ahead of the 2026/27 season.

He has also attracted interest from elsewhere, with Rakow Czestochowa, Hammarby, Malmo and AGF all reported to have shown an interest before Cracovia moved into pole position.

The striker arrived in England back in 2025, when he joined from Tromso for around £2.5 million, during what would be an unsuccessful Championship relegation battle for Luton.

Then, he would still fail to become a regular with the club in League One, with just 409 minutes handed to him before his loan move to Heerenveen.

He did enjoy a much more productive spell in the Netherlands, scoring six times and registering two assists, compared to the poor record of the prior months.

However, his form away from England has not exactly done enough to earn him a spot in Wilshere's squad, with the shirt number story saying it all.

Now, the Hatters are in a position where they must sort the issue sooner rather than later, although the figure agreed for a potential permanent exit from the Bedfordshire club further down the line means they'll likely make a financial loss in terms of transfer fee.

It has looked inevitable that Nordas would leave all summer, and the solution involving Cracovia does appear sensible for all involved.

The striker needs games, while it makes little to no sense for Luton to keep hold of a player who has no obvious route back into the lineup.

With an option to buy in place, the Hatters will only benefit, knowing that his permanent future could well be sorted, rather than pushing it further down the road with another loan.

The transfer has not worked out for all parties, and now is the right time for Luton to move on from Nordas - perhaps a good stint in Poland could unlock a permanent exit from the club for Nordas come the summer of 2027.
