Lyon’s most devoted followers are set to descend on Oslo on Saturday, with 51 fans making the trip, a record for the group. It comes as their team prepares for the third of four finals this season.

The OL Ang’elles cohort plan and pay several thousand euros across the campaign to follow the players almost everywhere, missing only Abidjan, according to Le Progres.

They are easy to spot, some in colourful, glitter-sprinkled hats, with banners unfurled and songs ringing out.

On the road they build in time to see the city, mindful of the cost, treating each journey as travel built around football.

Saturday’s Oslo visit extends a season of relentless backing for their champions.
