Man City ‘to target’ Geronimo Rulli as James Trafford nears Leeds United move | OneFootball

Manchester City are considering Argentina international Geronimo Rulli as a replacement for James Trafford, who is closing in on a move to Leeds United.

According to Fabrizio Romano, City want Marseille’s Argentina international goalkeeper to step in for Trafford. The 34-year-old is understood to be keen on the switch and Marseille are aware of the interest.

Leeds are on the verge of breaking their transfer record to sign Trafford as their new No one in a deal worth £40m plus add-ons.

City signed Trafford from Burnley last summer, then also brought in Gianluigi Donnarumma, which left Trafford as the club’s new No two.

As of Wednesday evening, the Trafford move to Leeds was not finalised, though there was optimism it would be completed.
