Man United spend over €600m on Serie A in 10 seasons as Ederson nears move | OneFootball

According to Football Italia, Atalanta midfielder Ederson is on the verge of a €50m permanent move to Manchester United, including add-ons. His arrival would be United’s 11th Serie A signing in the past decade, taking the spend to €609.2m.

The Brazilian would be the third player to join from Atalanta after Rasmus Hojlund and Amad Diallo.

United’s most expensive Serie A buy since 2015-16 was Paul Pogba, who returned from Juventus for €105m in 2016. Cristiano Ronaldo later rejoined from Juventus for €17m in 2021.

The most recent addition from Italy before Ederson was Patrick Dorgu, a €30m signing from Lecce in January 2025.

Other deals in that span include Sergio Romero, Matteo Darmian, Sofyan Amrabat, André Onana and Joshua Zikrzee.
