Man Utd close to completing Éderson transfer | OneFootball

Manchester United are close to completing the signing of Brazilian midfielder Éderson who would become the club's first summer arrival.

The Red Devils are looking to refresh their midfield this summer with Casemiro leaving and Manuel Ugarte expected to also depart. Reports have already suggested a move for West Ham's Mateus Fernandes is planned but one midfielder's signature is almost certain.

According to Simon Peach of the Press Association, a deal is close for the Atalanta man with a total fee of £38 million reported – with £4 million of that likely to be in add-ons.

Personal terms between the player and club are believed to have already been completed meaning that the transfer is now in its final stages.

The Brazilian international has not been selected for Carlo Ancelotti's World Cup squad but has had a solid season for Atalanta, scoring three goals and assisting three more in 41 appearances across all competitions.
