The 18-year-old winger is keen to secure a move away from the French capital this summer, and PSG have reluctantly opened the door to a permanent transfer in order to cash in on their prized academy graduate.

Tottenham Hotspur and Aston Villa are also monitoring the situation, alongside Bundesliga heavyweights RB Leipzig and Borussia Dortmund.

Mbaye’s reputation has soared following an impressive campaign on the international stage. Representing Senegal at the 2026 FIFA World Cup in North America, the explosive winger came off the bench in Senegal’s opening match to score a sublime goal against France.

As a result, he became the youngest goalscorer in his country’s World Cup history and the youngest African player ever to score at a World Cup, at just 18 years and 143 days old.

However, Mbaye’s pathway at PSG has become increasingly blocked. The winger has struggled to secure regular starts under Luis Enrique due to intense competition for places.

Concerned that his development could stall on the bench, Mbaye is eager to leave PSG in search of first-team football elsewhere, though some in his camp are keen for him to remain in the French capital.

Mbaye has two years remaining on his current contract, so PSG are under no immediate pressure to sell.

However, Les Parisiens could benefit from generating revenue and freeing up squad space as they pursue a move for RB Leipzig’s Yan Diomande, with Maghnes Akliouche also expected to join from Monaco.
