Manchester City set sights on exciting winger who is wanted by Tottenham and Villa | OneFootball

Manchester City have set sights on signing Paris Saint-Germain winger Ibrahim Mbaye, per Foot Mercato. 

But the Citizens face competition for the 18-year-old, with Tottenham Hotspur and Aston Villa also exploring a deal to sign him. 

Mbaye has emerged as one of the most promising forwards after his impressive displays at the World Cup 2026. 

He featured four times for Senegal at the summer tournament, and scored a brilliant goal against France in their first group game. That made him the youngest goalscorer in his country’s World Cup history. 

The teenage sensation also made 31 appearances across all competitions for PSG last season, bagging three goals and two assists in the process. 

Man City are in the market for a quality forward as Savinho faces an uncertain future at the Etihad Stadium. 

The Brazilian struggled for form and fitness issues last season, starting only seven Premier League matches. 

City are open to selling Savinho if a suitor meets their asking price. 

Mbaye could be a shrewd signing for the English giants. He is comfortable operating on both wings, and boasts an explosive pace, excellent dribbling skills and strong ball-carrying ability. 

Despite his age, the Senegal international has proven himself on the international stage. 

But a move is unlikely to be easy, with Tottenham, Villa, RB Leipzig and Borussia Dortmund all keen on his signature.
