With Bernardo Silva's departure confirmed, Manchester City are assessing Chelsea midfielder Enzo Fernández as a possible replacement, according to The Athletic.
The move is said to be viewed positively by City. Fernández joined Chelsea in January 2023 after the Blues paid about €121 million to Benfica.
Interest remains at an early stage and other options are being considered. Elliot Anderson has also been placed on the Manchester club's radar.
City could also capitalise on the Argentine's reported unhappiness with Chelsea's season. He is said to have asked to leave, and has been linked with Real Madrid and PSG.
This season for Chelsea, Fernández has made 48 appearances, 32 in the Premier League, 10 in the Champions League, four in the League Cup and two in the FA Cup. Across 3,839 minutes he has scored 12 goals and provided six assists, and he is valued at €90 million.
